Tzaneen - who would have thought

Of all the places in the world, tzaneen is not number one on the adventure list. but it kind of is.

i recently headed up to johannesburg to see my family and friends and have a bit of a catch up. as always my sister is itching to find some adventure and so we head out.

the drive to tzaneen took about 4 hours and was littered with potholes and roadworks but it was most definitely worth it.

we hit up sapeko tea farm (which has no online presence) for lunch and then poked our noses down certain roads until we found a mini waterfall to look at. my brother and i were about "this" close to jumping in before we decided we were too chicken. plus it was cold. we didn't have towels. whe list goes on. bottom line - we wussed out. the scenery, the people, the tranquility of nature makes this one adventure worth doing. you get to really embrace all that is around you and be in awe of what goes on in the forest when no one is watching. beauty in raw.
