Cape Town Street Food Festival 2014

Elle and I are the biggest foodies in the world, okay maybe not the world, but at least Cape Town. Wherever there is good food, we will find it, and we will eat it. We've been following the Gusto guys on Facebook for a while, they always have the yummiest looking foodies, from their famous paella, to their SUP Secret Dinners.

This was the first year the Cape Town Street Food Festival took place, and who doesn't love street food. It's cheap, it's dam delicious, and you can find such variety. The Cape Town Street Food Festival, which took place on the 27th of July at the Side Street Studios in Woodstock was no different. The place was lined with food trucks, interesting food stands with food from across the globe and craft beers, which any hipster would be proud of.

Not only this, but there was also a street food seminar, where some of the guys shared their secrets to pop up food, food trucks and food success in this cut throat industry. The day ended with a massive feast by some of the guys. I took a few photos from the market, which had guys n gals serving up everything from chicken feet paella, to homemade Onigiri (which looked fantastical and legit, makes me miss Taiwan and Hong Kong where Onigiri is readily available at all the 7 Elevens).

Check out the Cape Town Street Food Festival on Facebook for more info. If this doesn't make you hungry, you're not human.

I can't wait to see what other foodie offerings happen at next years Cape Town Street Food Festival.
