Cafeteria food truck

Working in town I see delicious eateries at every corner. Some good. Some even better.

Welcome to the Cafeteria. A food truck with heart. The guys behind this amazing mobile eatery took an old caravan and turned it into something special.

There's nothing pretentious about this place. No waiters. No reservations. Rock up, order and enjoy. The food changes every season so catch the last of their Winter menu while it lasts. I had the slow roasted lamb with a mealie meal block, butternut and beans. And it was amazing.

Tastes like Sundays.

After something sweet? They have cakes and tarts too. The chocolate tart was heavenly.

A change of season brings a new menu

With Summer comes a change of menu. Drum roll please

I tried the braaid chicken wrap. It was good but I must say I like the Winter menu better. Perhaps the Cafeteria Food truck could make a special lamb roast again?

Location location location

You can find them every Saturday at the Old Biscuit Mill and on [73 Kloof street during the week]. It seems they will no longer be on Kloof. Sad news but I'll let you know where they'll be next.

Stop working. Take a walk, order a meal and soak up the Cape Town sun.

The lovely folks at the Cafeteria food truck cater. Imagine getting them to come to you with their awesome truck and feeding the masses of friends right at your doorstep.
